A different kind of Binter Art

My little brother is a puzzling one, in the twisty puzzle kinda way. He 3D designed all the pieces for this unique, one of a kind puzzle, had them 3D printed and sent to him, then he dyed, assembled, and stickered it. I was so proud of his creativity and figured since the blog is called "Binter Art" his unique creation was not only qualified for, but also deserved a spot on the site. Awesome job Ryan! Here are a few more shots of the puzzle.

Woodland Web

My eyes are like hunters, looking for the next prey to shoot. They caught this frame last night outside the campus pool. It had been raining all day so the tree was very reflective, and with the street light at the perfect place the reflections on the wet branches looked like a spiderweb of light.

One Packed Place

Nelson's Landing, a restaurant in Leonardville, KS, is owned by Green Bay Packer Jordy Nelson's parents. Needless to say in this small town Nelson's Landing was the place to be Sunday night for the Superbowl. The restaurant was filled with fans showing their support for the local celebrity.

SK8about

Before leaving K-State for break I went on a photo/skating adventure around campus. I love going on walkabouts for photos and it's a great way to relax after a busy semester. This shot is of a fired up outdoor kiln.

I had worked my way into a bush to get a detail shot of the branches when all of a sudden a big flock of birds flew up and landed in the bush.

This is a silhouette of a pair of seeds against a sun set.

Lunar Eclipse

I stayed up to watch the eclipse and got frames all throughout its phases and combined them. It was so much fun to shoot, especially because I'm a space geek.

This is a double exposure I did with my basketball goal on my D7000. I jumped like an excited child when I looked at this frame in camera.

Dapper Doodles 1

This is a comic I did just for fun a while ago and submitted to the paper as a backup and it ended up running last week. It's really only funny to K-State students, seriously enough squirrels already Manhattan.

The Man, The Legend, Rob Dyrdek

Rob Dyrdek came to Manhattan to promote the release of the new Windows 7 phone. I was so stoked to get to photograph him and the very beautiful Minka Kelly (Esquire's sexiest woman of the year 2010).

As soon as work self was done shooting fan self took over and got Rob to sign my helmet (luckily work self was looking out for fan self and tucked it into his bag before heading to the shoot).

Playing Card Design

This is an idea I have been working on since we started our fotobroker site for the paper. I made the ambigram myself to ensure it would be a reversible design.

Midnight Marauder

Lisle (coworker and one of my besties) and I went for a midnight walkabout last night, this is what I turned out from it.

Lisle's dog just got spade, poor girl.

One rad dude

I saw this man, Don Setser, retired K-State professor of chemistry, reading his paper with what appeared had his face on the cover. He was a very polite man and didn't mind me at all.
